KITVERGE PRIVACY POLICY ======================= Effective Date: October 22, 2026 Last Updated: October 22, 2026

1. INTRODUCTION

DEWAN ENGINEERING WORKS ("we," "us," or "our") provides KitVerge (the "App"), an equipment-kit organization, inspection, checkout, return, and local reporting application. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information, including information stored on your device, limited requests for optional internet images, and actions you choose to take when exporting information or contacting support.

KitVerge is designed primarily for local, on-device use. An account is not required to use its main functions.

2. INFORMATION YOU ENTER INTO THE APP

Depending on how you use KitVerge, you may enter or generate:

  • Kit names, categories, descriptions, storage locations, and notes.
  • Equipment names, quantities, condition or damage details, serial labels, and optional replacement-cost estimates.
  • Preparation and return inspection results, draft checklists, timestamps, and inspection notes.
  • Assignment labels (which may contain a person's or team's name), checkout purposes, expected return dates, actual return dates, and status information.
  • Activity-history entries and summaries calculated from the information you provide.
  • Preferences such as theme, country, and onboarding completion status.

This information is saved in the App's local database or local preferences on your device. Some entered fields may contain personal information if you choose to put it there. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information in free-text fields.

3. HOW INFORMATION IS USED

The App processes the above information locally to:

  • Display your kits and equipment records.
  • Calculate missing or damaged quantities and kit readiness statuses.
  • Maintain inspection, checkout, return, and activity histories.
  • Show local searches, filters, summaries, charts, and reports.
  • Produce files you request, such as CSV exports, PDF reports, or JSON backups.
  • Remember your selected application settings.

Readiness results reflect your manually entered records. The App does not independently identify, locate, scan, or physically verify equipment.

4. INTERNET ACCESS AND THIRD-PARTY IMAGES

The App requests Android's INTERNET permission to display optional decorative equipment photographs. Some images are fetched over HTTPS from Unsplash image-hosting infrastructure, including images.unsplash.com, using the Glide image-loading library.

When a photograph is requested, the image provider and its infrastructure may receive normal connection and request information, including your IP address, the requested image URL, approximate request time, and technical HTTP or device information associated with the request. The provider may process or retain that information under its own privacy practices. The App may cache downloaded images on the device to improve loading.

KitVerge does not intentionally attach your kit names, equipment records, inspection details, or assignment notes to these image requests.

The main kit-management, inspection, checkout, local reporting, and backup functions can be used without internet connectivity. Images that cannot load use an in-app fallback.

5. SHARING, EXPORTS, AND BACKUPS

KitVerge does not automatically upload your kit database to the developer's server. The reviewed application does not contain a user login, remote account sync, advertising SDK, or analytics-tracking SDK.

If you choose to export a CSV or PDF, or create a JSON backup, Android's system file picker lets you choose where the file is saved. Your chosen destination may be local storage or a third-party document provider. If you send, share, or store a file using another service, that service handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.

JSON backup files may include kit records, equipment details, inspection history, assignments, activity, and selected preferences. These backups are NOT encrypted by the App. Anyone with access to an unprotected backup file may be able to read its contents. You are responsible for choosing a secure location and deleting copies that you no longer need.

Restoring a backup is initiated by you and requires validation and a confirmation before it replaces current records in the App.

6. CONTACTING SUPPORT

Selecting Contact Support opens a compatible email application with an email addressed to [email protected]. KitVerge does not send an email automatically.

If you choose to send an email, your email provider and the recipient's email service will process the message and any information you include. We use support correspondence to respond to your inquiry and maintain records where reasonably necessary or legally required. Do not send sensitive equipment documents or other personal information unless it is needed for your request.

7. PAYMENTS AND SENSITIVE PERMISSIONS

The reviewed App does not offer payment processing, banking, loans, investment services, or financial accounts. Optional equipment replacement costs are manually entered estimates for local record-keeping, not financial transactions.

The current manifest does not request access to camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, SMS, call logs, or broad device storage. File import/export uses Android's system document-selection mechanisms instead of unrestricted storage access.

8. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

App records are stored in an Android Room database within the App's private storage area, and preferences are stored locally through Android SharedPreferences. Android's application sandbox helps limit access by unrelated apps. The App's manifest disables Android's automatic application-data backup.

The App does not claim that its Room database or exported JSON backup files have an additional application-level encryption layer. Please protect your device with an appropriate screen lock, avoid exposing exported files, and install system security updates. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Online image requests use HTTPS. The confidentiality of material you export or email depends in part on the destination and service you choose.

9. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Your local records remain on your device until they are modified or removed. You can edit equipment records and, where permitted by the App's history-preservation rules, delete kits or items. Some kits with inspection or checkout history may be archived rather than permanently deleted so their local audit history is not silently discarded.

You can remove the App's locally stored records through Android Settings > Apps > KitVerge > Storage > Clear storage (labels vary by device), or by uninstalling the App. This ordinarily removes app-private data. Android's operating system and your device's file-management behavior may affect the timing of removal.

Files that you manually exported or backed up are separate from app-private storage and may remain at your chosen destination after clearing data or uninstalling. You must delete those files separately. If a third-party service stores copies, its retention and deletion practices apply.

If you contacted support, you may email [email protected] to request information about or deletion of correspondence held by the developer, subject to applicable legal obligations. Deleting local app data does not automatically delete emails that you previously sent.

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

KitVerge is intended as a general equipment-management utility and is not specifically designed for children. We do not intentionally ask users to provide children's personal information. If you believe sensitive information was provided to the developer through a support email, contact us using the address below.

11. INTERNATIONAL SERVICES

Optional image providers, email providers, and document-storage services selected by you may process technical or user-shared information in countries outside your place of residence. Their own privacy notices describe their applicable practices. The core KitVerge records remain stored on the device unless you choose an action that transfers or saves information elsewhere.

12. YOUR CHOICES

You can:

  • Use core equipment-management functions offline.
  • Choose what information to type in kit, equipment, and assignment fields.
  • Edit eligible records or archive kits.
  • Export copies of your records or create and restore a backup.
  • Delete app-private records by clearing application storage or uninstalling.
  • Decide whether to compose and send a support email.

You can ask questions about privacy and request assistance by contacting the developer using the address below. Any rights you have under applicable privacy laws continue to apply.

13. UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's functionality, third-party services, applicable requirements, or information-handling practices change. The updated version will show a revised Last Updated date. Material changes will be explained through an appropriate notice when required.
